A bi-monthly evening of live, experimental, improvised performance.
Moving Compositions brings together a changing mix of artists including but not limited to dancers, musicians, live artists, comedians, singers, poets, and more – who compose a series of unplanned performances in-the-moment.
Each event is a one-off composition shaped through improvisation, collaboration and audience participation.
Curated by Laura Edwards and supported by Cambridge Junction’s Troop Artist Membership Scheme, Moving Compositions celebrates the thrill of the unknown and the power of cross-artform collaboration.
“a wonderful multi-sensory performance in-the-moment… such an innovative and amazing event – a feast for the mind, body and soul!”
– Audience member (Moving Compositions 9th October)
Wildcard Acts
Have a performance practice that uses the body, voice or instrument? Fancy getting involved?
Put your name in the hat at the start of the evening for a chance to share something spontaneous – either accompanied or unaccompanied by one or more artists from the core group – two names will be drawn at random during the night.
Next event: Moving Compositions 5!
Date: 7th December 2025
Time: 1:30pm - 3pm
